An AA-Super Frame originating from about 1983-85.
Jaap got is used in 1996 from Jan Kooij Tweewielers.
This is one of the tighest geometries
of the eighties race scene. Enjoy!

Left and below: Clearly seen here is the indented seat tube designed to radically shorten the overall wheel base.

The AA-Super as seen in the 1984 catalog has the wishbone seatstay like this, while the one shown here has a traditional arrangement.

In the 1982 catalog there's no mention of an AA-Super. Was 84 the first year, and was the wishbone offered along with a classic seatstay? Or is Jaap's frame, and this one, both from a limited run in 1983?

Put this together with the serial numbers, which on both the AA-Super frames we have recorded are completely out of sequence, and we have some unique issues regarding the these.

On Jaap's AA-Super there's Reynolds decals from two different periods.

The one on the seat tube (left) was in use from 1981-85, while the decal on the fork (right) was the last design Reynolds employed for the 531 tube set and started appearing in 85-86.

Using these to date the frame causes some questions, obviously: Is the fork original or a later replacement? Is the frame from the 1985 transitional period where (unlikely) a mixed set of decal would be applied?

Very interesting and eclectic mix of components: First generation Campagnolo Corsa Record rear derailleur, 80's Shimano Dura Ace brake calipers, Campagnolo Triomphe crank, top-of-tube Aero shifters and a Gazelle branded HUGE headset spacer!!
