McKenzie River style Driftboat, 14' LOA

I built this interpretation of the northwest river running dory in 1997. The boat, designed by Tracy O'Brian, turned out to be responsive, stable and solid.

On this boat the construction method is the socalled 'stitch and glue', a modern wood composite technique producing strong, low maintenance hulls.

The interior layout was custom designed in collaboration with the owner, to accomodate his specific needs, which included perfect trim under all load configurations.
