I
chose to change the designed carvel planked hull to lapstrake,
which is prettier on most small boats. The construction was
very traditional, with steam bent white oak frames and hundreds
of copper rivets.
After this photo shoot the boat was painted white outside,
but remained with the oiled workboat finish inside.
This project was built outside in the winter of 1996 under
a 10 x 16 roofed shelter with one wall. |
