Hoodenett
aka Whodunit, 5.9
Sonja pulling the dicey crux sequence on the first pitch.
Once past this rite of passage the route steepens dramatically
into a series of awesome cracks and corners, none of which
ever have the precarious, insecure feel of this initial section.
The first ascent of Hoodenett was in 1957 by Joe Fitschen
and Royal Robbins, who undoubtedly slammed a few pegs. The
pinscarring is hardly noticeable though compared to routes
of similar esteem in the Valley.
