One bolt of unknown heritage and a bunch of carefully employed
cams make up this and many similarly exposed belays on the
Muir. The lack of fixed gear on this route makes every inch
of climbing hard earned, and setting up belays take time and
swallow a good portion of the lead rack.
Florian did a outstanding job creating clean looking and
safe belays like this one over and over again on our 5 days
on the wall. |
