SW Face This view of the Big Stone includes 4 of the 5 El Cap routes I've been up. Not here is Zodiac, the only venue I've done on the South East Face. Dihedral Wall starts in the big corner low down in the center of the photo with the Black Arch visible above, leading right into another corner system. After the Free Blast, Salathe takes cracks on the left side of the Heart to the easily identified El Cap Spire, and then straight up. Muir Wall finishes in the left of the two huge shadowy corners near the top of the prow, while the Nose goes up the right one with the Great Roof seen at its base. Confused? |
