May 1990 This Leeper Bat Hook apparently instilled enough confidence in me to take a mid pitch photo. Too bad the focus is on Geoff belaying and not the hook. I guess there was enough stress in the situation for me to miss that aspect. By the way, this placement looks quite manufactured. This is near the high point of our half baked attempt in 1990, about 4 or 5 pitches up. I had just come off another wall and, with a new partner I didn't groove as well with, there was a markedly lack of motivation. The climbing was also not so aesthetic, following intermittent seams festooned with ratty old heads and other junk. |
