The crux pitch with its gritty, eroded
section of semi loose nailing is un folding on this image.
On a route of unspectacular, easy aiding this almost thrilling
passage was more than welcome, but over way too soon. Shortly
hereafter I seem to remember a striking thin flake that could
have gone free at a reasonable grade. Unfortunately we didn't
muster up the motivation, and the thing deteriorated into
more crumbly choss after all.
Regardless, we all had a fine time on this less than classic
wall, which also turned out to be the last one I ever did
there. September, 1992. |
